Ever check out the website, http://www.musiciansfriend.com ? They constantly have great deals on audio equipment, including bundles.

I use audio technica mics, with pro-line mic stands (when I bother using the stands) and then an Alesis USB mixer, which has 4 mic inputs. I use a splitter for the headphones which works fine. It does have phantom power.

The main piece of equipment I need to expand is a laptop. Since I only have desktops, it makes it harder to venture outside of the home. I recently conduced an interview on-sight for my podcast and borrowed a portable digital recorder for the interview. With a laptop this of course would not have been needed.
